Winter Hawk Walks

Volunteers Mike, Alyssa and Linda practice for upcoming programs with Beau the Harris Hawk .

Experience live birds of prey up close and personal on a winter Hawk Walk.  Licensed falconers will work with small groups of four to eight participants to teach them the natural history of the raptors and the role they play in our environment. Basics of the ancient sport of falconry will also be covered as well as the environmental concerns facing these beautiful birds. The guided excursion will lead you around The Arboretum gardens with many opportunities to handle live birds of prey with close supervision.
