Winter Falconry Workshops

Home Up

Volunteers Mike, Alyssa and Linda practice for upcoming programs with Beau the Harris Hawk.

Experience live birds of prey up close and personal in a Winter Falconry Workshop.  Licensed falconers will work with small groups of four to eight participants to teach them the natural history of the raptors and the role they play in our environment. Learn the basics of the ancient sport of falconry as well as the environmental concerns facing these beautiful birds. The guided workshop will lead you on an excursion around The Arboretum gardens with an opportunity to handle live birds of prey with close supervision.
