8/2 5:30 - 7:00 p.m.  Summer Concert:  Nolan McKelvey From Boston to Flagstaff, Nolan brings his estimable talents with alternative-country/folk music. Members $10; non-members $12
8/5 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. Nocturnal Bug Hunt Join entomologists Neil Cobb and Robert Delph trapping and collecting your garden's evening throngs of flying and crawling objects. Members $5; non-members $7
8/14 6:30 p.m. Full Moon Bat Program "Bats World Wide".  Brian Keeley tells what they eat and their critical role in pollination and seed dispersal. Members $5;  non-members $7
8/16 5:30 p.m. Arboretum Summer Soiree "Garden Party...Celebrating Life in the Southwest."  Featuring Roberta Rogers as Artist of the Year.  Reception...Dinner...Live Auction... $100 per person.  Tables for 6 or 8 may be reserved.
8/22 - 8/24 Fri evening thru Sun morning Mushroom Retreat
at the Nature Conservancy's Hart Prairie Preserve
Join Edward Smith of the N.C. and MaryLou Fairweather of the Forest Service to learn mushroom lore, hunt them and learn how to preserve and prepare them. $350 - $400 for weekend, with meals and lodging.
8/23 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. Members' Reception The Arboretum's special thanks for members' support, a review of the past year and our vision for the future. Free to members; $10 for members' guests
8/30 9:30 - 11:30 a.m. Wildflower Walk on Arboretum grounds Botanist Dr. Gwen Waring leads visitors through The Arboretum's gardens, meadow, and nature trail to point out the wildflowers in bloom this season. Free with admission price, but sign in for tour of 20 maximum.
8/31 5:30 - 7:00 p.m.` Summer Concert Greg Reiter and Puerta del Sol.  Greg is master of many forms of guitar music, particularly Flamenco Classical. $10 members; $12 non-members
