The Arboretum’s Summer Adventure Programs: 200 acres of environmental education!

The Arboretum is a great place for children to discover nature in a variety of habitats, including wetlands, forests, cultivated gardens, and meadows. Our Summer Adventure Programs explore not only plants but also birds and other animals. Children embark on a different adventure each week, where they learn about natural habitats, make crafts, play games, and enjoy a snack.

Register early — camps are limited in size, with two adult leaders, to ensure high quality programming. Receipt of full payment guarantees your space.

Summer Day Camps : Ages 4–7

Half-day environmental exploration camps for preschoolers and early elementary aged children.

2011 Registration Begins February 1!

• Instructors: Michelle Galloway and Zoe Gordon, ages 4–5; Katie Flint and Andrew Mumm, ages 6–7
• Maximum participants per class: 12
• Length: 3.5 hours per session
• Fee: $16 per child per class, members / $20 nonmembers; optional lunch supervision fee $5 (We do not provide refunds)

We hold programs for each age group simultaneously so siblings can participate with their peers. Two professional educators lead each summer camp. Children spend most of their time outside in the gardens, wetlands, forest, and meadow.

Two complementary themes are offered each week; children can come in the mornings or afternoons or stay the whole day on Tuesday or Wednesday. If staying all day, children may eat their lunch with staff for an additional fee.
