The Arboretum is a great place for children to discover nature in a variety of habitats, including wetlands, forests, cultivated gardens, and meadows. Our Summer Outdoor Adventure Programs explore not only plants but also birds and other animals. Children embark on a different adventure each week, where they learn about natural habitats, make crafts, play games, and enjoy a snack.

  • Time: 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM Monday through Friday, except the week of July 4th (which will run Monday through Wednesday)

Forest Friends: Whooooo lives in the forest?  June 17-21 & July 8-12

Whoooooo lives in our forests? Build a nest, slither like a snake, and go on a wildlife walk to explore the wonderful world of northern Arizona wildlife!

Artventures July 1-3

Investigate and observe the natural world through a combined lens of art and science. Children will artistically express the wonders of the natural world during games, activities and in the creation of many works of art!

Buggy Explorations, July 22-26

Learn what’s buzzing by through live capture and observation of the many bugs that live in the pond, garden and the forest of the Arboretum. Each camper will get the chance to create a costume based on their favorite bug and wear it the last day of camp!

  • Artventures: $60 for members/ $75 for non-members

After Camp Child Care will be available.

Cost: $10 per day until 3pm
