Arbor Day: A Celebration of Trees

Landscaping Expo:

The following landscaping companies and designers share The Arboretum's mission of water-wise planting with native and adapted species. They will be on hand from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM to share information about their services and provide advice to northern Arizona gardeners.

Activities

10:00 AM - 4:00 PM Meet landscapers who practice water-wise principals. Find out how you can have a beautiful yard using drought-tolerant species.

10:00 AM -4:00 PM Director of Horticulture Mark Jarecki will be on hand to demonstrate proper tree-planting, selection, and placement. Visitors will have an opportunity to plant a tree or shrub in the gardens.

10:00-4:00 Children's scavenger hunt and hands-on craft activities

11:00, 1:00, & 3:00 Tour the gardens with a docent to learn about the best trees and shrubs for Flagstaff landscapes

12:00 & 2:00 Wildlife programs. Find out about the animals who live in the trees.

Representatives from the Flagstaff Sustainability Program will have information about the residential energy retrofits. While planning a water-wise garden, consider a more energy efficient home! Download the flyer for further details.
