Directions to The Arboretum at Flagstaff

The Arboretum is located 3.8 miles south of Route 66 on scenic Woody Mountain Road, on Flagstaff’s west side. The first mile of Woody Mountain Road is paved and the remaining 2.8 miles are unpaved, but suitable for all vehicles. The posted speed limit for the Forest Service Road is 25 mph.

From Flagstaff:

Take Route 66 west through town. When you reach the last stoplight in town (Woodlands Village Boulevard), continue on Route 66 about a mile to Woody Mountain Road. Turn left and continue 3.8 miles to Arboretum.

From I-17/I-40:

From I-40 west, take exit #191. Turn right at stop sign at end of off-ramp. This is Route 66 eastbound. Drive about 2 miles to Woody Mountain Road. Turn right and continue 3.8 miles to Arboretum.

From Sedona via 89A

Take 89A north. Turn left on Woodlands Village Boulevard  (You will pass Walmart on your right.) At Route 66, turn left and go 1 mile. Take a left on Woody Mountain Road and proceed 3.8 miles. The last 2.8 miles are on an unpaved Forest Service road.
